This was our first house sitting assignment through a third-party. It was a learning experience, to say the least.
We cared for eight, indoor-only cats who were on a special, raw-chicken diet. We bought raw chicken carcasses and ground them for twice-daily scheduled meals.
While in Baltimore, we befriended several neighbors and volunteered in a community improvement project. Ken played guitar and sang every Thursday evening at a local cafe.

We cared for (and loved) two adorable black cats who can be outdoors during daylight hours.
We coordinated a kitchen remodeling project, minor plumbing projects, and the schedules of the exterminators. Ken completed plumbing and light carpentry projects as well as spackling, sanding and painting and kitchen walls and ceiling and the screened-in porch.
We also took over the feeding of a stray cat and befriended him to the point that the homeowner adopted him into the family.

Three animals: A 80-pound pit bull, a 40-pound mixed breed, and a 5-pound cat. Who was in charge? The 5-pound cat (of course).
We administered medication to the pit bull twice a day, because of a urinary tract problem, we needed to let him outside every four hours. He also thought he was a lap dog. The medium-sized dog was a cuddly creature and the tiny cat stayed hidden in her special closet except for feeding times and to give orders.

Reunited for a long weekend, with my furry, feline friends: Suzy Bebop, Stevie, and Wendell.
It feels great to house and pet sit for someone and then become their "go to" person for pet care.

Two big, beautiful female cats, accustomed to being outdoors during the daytime, but indoors at night needed, and got, loving attention while their owners were away for a month.
The property maintenance includes a two-story contemporary house in a prestigioos neighborhood, yard landscaping, and daily maintenance of cleaning of an inground, chlorine pool.

Three, indoor-only cats, two with twice-a-day medication needed loving attention while their owners were on the other side of the world for a month.
In their three-story townhouse, the cats and I played fetch and catch on two levels.
Unfortunately, the 18-year-old cat went to the rainbow bridger.

These two young, indoor-only cats are brothers. They are very sweet and can perform tricks. They have been trained to use the toilet and the litter box.
These two cats are on a strict, raw-meat only diet - twice a day at regular 12-hour intervals, with daily dental care, and nutritional supplements.
House duties: mow the lawn, daily watering of flowering plants and new bushes, recycle and garbage take-out, mail collection, general cleaning, scheduling house cleaners, etc.

Six beautiful cats - each one a rescued street cat. Now beloved members of a great cat family. All cats had outdoor priviledge via a cat flap. They loved attention, affection, and their two meals of canned and dry food.

A mother and daughter team of senior aged cats 16 and 15 years old. Indoor only. These cats loved to "help" change the bed linens. They also loved long naps in the sunshine or on top of the radiator.

Two large chocolate Labs who were very accostumed to a regular routine, morning walks, two meals per day, plus snacks - and frequent jaunts out to the garden for a roll in the grass.

Possibly the sweetest, most relaxed cat I've ever known. Purred instantly at the first touch. She liked to go outside for short breaks in the tall grass or to roll on the wooden deck boards.
